The bees knees

This morning as the first thunderstorm broke I ran out to bring in the BBQ from the garden and noticed the smell of the rosemary was wonderful with the rain bashing off it and releasing the essential oils.

Had work to do in Eyemouth today - a new food festival in development for next year. Took the opportunity to stop in St Abbs and Coldingham Bay en route. Around Coldingham Bay there was a huge crop of thistles and lots of bees enjoying the sunshine.

The drive back to Edinburgh this evening was bizarre - difficult to see the difference between road and sky as the sky was so dark. Magnificent thunderstorms. Hope this doesn't mean the end of summer.
