Spoilt for choice again.

Not quite "spur of the moment", but sufficiently short notice that we didn't manage a campsite and it turned into a dash down, deek about and dash back from RHS Show at Tatton Park.
As ever on such occasions I was spoilt for choice and had to enlist the aid of The Gaffer, she settled on this from a severe pruning to 13 from the original 100+.

I say "dash down", in fact it was a dash down via Preston. I picked up a "repaired" lens from "Cameratiks" in Edinburgh, without the sense to take the camera in with me and we were en route home that day B4 I finally changed lenses, only to find it wasn't "ten times no better", it was worserer. When it went in it could be persuaded to take the odd photo, or several; but intermittently. It came out totally and utterly "inter", with nary a mitten to be seen.
Don't you just HATE intermittent faults? The only thing worse is when said fault crosses the line and becomes totally mitten, which the lens now is. Ash-trays on motor bikes and chocolate fire-guards spring to mind.
More of that later.
