Zonkey?

I found a copy of the Daily Mail on the bus. I wouldn't normally touch this rag with a barge pole but sitting on the beach at Ayr I flicked past the immigrant scaremongering and Gerald Warners homophobic comments and found this article.

As all Biology teachers and their pupils will tell you, crosses between similar breeds or species are possible. The offspring are infertile due to their having an odd chromosome number but they do exist. Mules are horses crossed with donkeys and you can get Tigrons too ( I'll leave you to work that one out).

A Zonkey is a Zebra/Donkey cross. And what a wonderful looking beast it is too :-)
