Vintage

Terrific day again, temperature around 25C, and sunny most of the day, although a dull patch in the afternoon.

Took the train into the city to meet C, had a coffee (actually had a milk shake), and then went shopping, had a great time and very successful.

Then we wandered along to the Merchant City Festival.  Glasgow was absolutely heaving, wonderful people shots to be had.  There was a vintage edge to the festival this year, with lots of people wandering around in vintage clothing, dating mostly it seemed from the forties and fifties.  It was great.  And there was a whole area devoted to vintage, which was really interesting and great fun.

Also lots of food stalls, C bought some walnut sausage which tasted delicious (we both had a sample) and will be lovely with salad.  Lots of Scottish fare on offer too, which was very tempting.

For the first time ever, I plucked up enough courage to actually ask if I could take a picture, and those two really sweet girls were more than willing.  Their vintage outfits were spectacular, and I think it makes a great blip.

I was actually spoiled for choice, there were four girls jitterbugging and they were fantastic, and I got some good pictures of them, but in the end my vintage girls won the day.

Hope you like the shot.

Glasgow is brill!!!!
