Friday 17 July 2009: Fishing
This was taken at a small pond on the way to work.. The pond is stocked with fish and 50 - 60 people go there and fish every day. It is a strange thing to see. It is also a common thing to see.. It is part fishing and part a social event for the participants.. Older Chinese love to just sit around and chat and if they can catch a fish.. all the better. The pond is no more than 50 meters across but once ina while they must throw a few large fish in to keep interest up. I ahve seen them pull 45cm fish out.
