The Drowned World

I was going to do a different watery blip but the drenched flowers only added to the gloom.

This is a shot of Mundy...well, Mundy's head...in front of his sunpainting called The Drowned World. The title came from JG Ballard's eponymous novel. He is one of Mundy's favourite writers but, sadly, died recently. The name assumed new meaning when, two days after completing this sunpainting, the twin towers were destroyed in the 9/11 disaster and the world was drowning in America's tears.

I wish this rain would go away.
