The council has placed table tennis equipment in various parks in Cambridge. These are on Christ's Piece, behind the bus station. I stood and watched them play for a while, but it was difficult to catch the action as there wasn't any really. They were all obviously novices but having fun. Sadly, one table that was placed in a park in Cherry Hinton had all the legs sawn off by a mindless vandal or vandals on the first day. They must have brought a saw with them as it was the intention to spoil the enjoyment of others. However the rest of the tables are still intact. Our council does provide many things for us to do throughout the year, which is much appreciated.
