White Swan Raft Race

The winners of the race which is for home made rafts from the white swan in twickenham across to the other side and back. These guys were so dominant they were able to celebrate for most of the way back.

Great day with J, N and M. out in Twickenham and at home then great night at the Sussex Arms with N. The Sussex really is a fantastic pub and they had a great band in the Wessex Pistols. A band with acoustic guitar, banjo, double base, violin and bongo drum. Who play a kind of folk,hillbilly punk. Never imagined in 1977 I'd see God Save the Queen, No More Heroes and Teenage Kicks played on the banjo - and for it to work!
