Waiting Place

My morning walk with Taz brought me along this street. There is a large population of elderly in our neighborhood, many of them looking after grandchildren while parents are at work. In the slightly-cooler-than-midday mornings and evenings they often congregate, chatting, buying a bag of veggies at the market, playing Chinese dominoes or just taking a walk with good company. In some ways it reminds me of a retirement community in the States. I hope that I'm lucky enough to have a community like this when I am older too.
