Black humour

If you live on the east side of Christchurch, there's lots of black humour which lifts the mood.

Our roads on the east side are appalling - huge potholes, humps in the road, grael sections, broken kerbs, flooding, big stones, broken tarmac. So bad that taxi drivers refuse to take people home after dark and bus drivers get too stressed to work.

But one intersection - about 50 yards in 3 directions has been immaculately sealed, and someone has gone to the trouble of warning us in case we get a fright when the car stops bouncing shuddering and shaking!
