Allonby

August Alphabet Challenge

A=Allonby

Allonby is in West Cumbria. It is a small seaside village on the Solway, with extensive views of Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland.

There are lots of coloured houses, and Allonby is famous for it's sunsets!

The red brick building on the left is The Reading Room. It was built over 100 years ago by The Quakers to provide a library for the village. Recently restored, it is now a private house.

We are off to Hebden Bridge tomorrow for a couple of days to see Tam and Jim's new house! Exciting! So there may be back blips on Sunday evening...
