I sometimes can't believe...

that I live here! This is a part of Lake Pend Oreille in Idaho called "The Driftyard" where logs and flotsam are herded and people come out in the winter and spring when the water is low to collect it and use it for landscaping or artwork. Even though the water level is high I was in search of a particular piece of driftwood that will be featured in a fused glass piece that I am working on. While there I saw barn swallows and cormorants which was thrilling because I have not seen so many in one place before.
