Tuesday 14 July 2009: "Little Blue Heron"

we took a short ride before dinner to the ocean inlet to enjoy the scenery and summer evening. Again, with the weather pattern we are experiencing, the clouds were building in the west, and as soon as the sun started dropping lower, it was hidden behind the clouds (not long after we arrived). so, it looks later than it was, and not great color, but it was still nice to be there.
I was surprised to see two Green Herons and this guy there, don't think of them as salt water birds. They perched on the edge of the fishermen's buckets to check the fish out, and fished off the rocks. Then the Little Blue followed a guy with a bait net to the beach to try his luck there.
