Cooling Off

It was Jake's first trip to the zoo today! I wondered if he might be a little young, but he was wide-eyed and attentive the whole time. The porpoises scared him but he liked it when the elephants cooled their bodies off by spraying dirt! I don't think I've been to our zoo since I retired from teaching 13 years ago, and today I am grateful for just one little person to watch over instead of the 30 I had years ago!
