An Icon

My neighbour, Christian de Verdal, posed for me in his studio - a cavernous old stone barn that would chill your bones brittle in the winter and transform itself to an oven in the summer. Christian is an artist whose specialty is religious icons. They are quite amazing. He also restores churches and furniture to their former glory.
