The Road Menders

Every couple of years we pay the council to dress the surface of the road and fill in the potholes. Today was the big day so all the cars had to be parked off the road and they turned up with a truck load of scalpings a JCB and a roller.

The two men were very amaible and in no time they transformed our pot holed lane into a nice smooth flat road. It will only take a few showers and a bit of winter frost before the holes start appearing again but for now it looks really good.
