Tortoiseshell & Peacock butterflies

The buddleia was covered in butterflies today - tortoiseshells, small and large; whites, ditto; peacocks and, possibly, a painted lady.

(Talking of which, I should be rubbing down and painting now, but keep being distracted by the garden. There'll be plenty of time to decorate when it's raining.)

Thank you so much for all your kind comments on yesterday's sunrise - the photo was largely a matter of lucky timing. Never had so many hearts and stars - you are all very kind. And - like buses (none for ages, then two or three on the trot) - I hit the spotlight page two days running. It's thanks to the natural beauty of our lovely planet more than my photographic skills, but thank you for sharing my delight.
