One Car-less owner

I think I'm safe to say that the car is dead!

Cruising along the road at 45 miles an hour, a car in front slammed his brakes on to turn over the road at the last second. The car between him and I slammed his on as well, I didn't fare so well. Breaking distance or reaction time, I don't know but, there's a hole in my bonnet... and the rest!

The bump is looks far worse than it was. No harm done to me, or the dogs, who didn't even fall off their seats! The Jeep in front had only a partially broken tail light and a nasty scratch to his bumper! The photo isn't up to much... I think I was shaking a little bit.
