Two wet cockies

We had another visitation by the sulphur crested cockatoos this morning, and what a horrible morning it was. Right back to winter again with low cloud and teeming rain.

There were four of them altogether, with these two perching fairly close together on our deck railing. One of them brought us a present of yet another pine cone. See Paladian’s pine cone blip yesterday. I guess food is very scarce at the moment, because we are getting more and more parrots of various species every day.

Paladian threw some seed onto the deck for them so that I could get plenty of shots of these two. Although most of the shots were taken through glass, this one was the best of the lot. They came up quite close and you get a very good sense of how large these birds really are.

Bigger birds.

I believe it could well have been the same bird I blipped on our deck two days ago.
