Eileen harvesting the nasturtium seeds

Eileen came to visit us today and walked to the Farmer's Market in town with Woodpeckers. We haven't seen her since she stayed here with her family for a few days while we were in Scotland. Bomble was also pleased to see her as he enjoyed their company while we were away. Helena met Eileen when they were both students at Edinburgh University many moons ago.

We had some tea when they returned from the market and ate some of the extremely delicious birthday cake Helena baked for me. Then Eileen went outside the back door to hunt for the nasturtium seeds which she had observed when staying here. She wanted to pick them to take home and pickle! With a bit of luck we might get to taste them as Eileen often brings us the home produced jams, sauces and pickles she loves to make.

Helena is getting all the camping stuff together and making me feel very lazy. But I do all the driving so it all evens out in the end. We are both hoping that this miserable grey cloudy, windy and drizzly weather will disappear while we are in the tent next week.
