Sidewalk splendour

After the recent rains, many plants have picked up their heads and shown us their beauty.

On our sidewalk, on a fairly dry patch, these Dutch Irises stand tall and beautiful.

They grow without much care being given and at the moment they are a lovely sight.

I have little knowledge about them and perhaps our Nederlandse blip friends could spare us some information on them?
