An Avid Lensman

Wild Flowers...

Whilst out walking this morning, came across this amazing, rich patch of wild flowers, in the corner of a field.

It was so dense that I had to remain standing at the edge and leant in and over (not a too comfortable low-down position!) and try and combine the distinctive tree on the horizon and get the light contrast between the sky and foreground, without the use of a graduated grey filter. Much shadow extraction low down and darkening of the sky and I finally came up with this - quite a pleasing result, considering. Check it out on LARGE

Lens is Nikkor 10-24mm

Many thanks too for nudging my super-scary full-moon long exposure in the Crematorium yesterday up into the spotlight - it is much appreciated.

I photographed an event at Salisbury Arts Centre last night, a few pics of which have to be edited for the local newspaper and the remaining pics for the organisers, so commenting may slip a little, today.
