HETAL & JORDAN

Hetal came into the studio today to take part in a recording of next week's In Touch programme about weddings and taking part if you're blind or visually-impaired.
Hetal is totally blind, as is her husband Will and as he was at work & Hetal was able to take time off from her job to do the recording, she brought their son, 6 month old Jordan, in with her.
When Hetal arrived, she was pushing the baby buggy with her right hand and holding her guide dog with her left.

The logistics of this struck me as something of a challenge, but Hetal took it all in her stride & even told me that I sounded like a sighted person, when I expressed my admiration for the way she dealt with everything so calmly.

We hope to be doing a programme looking at some of the issues facing blind parents in the near future and will be inviting Hetal to share her experiences for that as well.

Congratulations Hetal to you and Will - Jordan is a beautiful little baby.
