Pests Can Be Beautiful Too!

This is a gorse flower lying on a park bench. It is beautiful but is cursed as it has massive strong spiky thorns and grows like wildfire rampantly across New Zealand, after being introduced as a hedging plant by early settlers from the UK "motherland" where it grows in a sedate and orderly fashion. Here in New Zealand it becomes a conquerer who invades as far as the eye can see.
Us Kiwi's are a bit like that! Prone to be a bit spiky and smotheringly, annoying but also can have our beautiful sides if look hard enough.
I am enjoying seeing the photos from all around the world. It is one of the huge gifts imparted by those who share.
