Before fridges ...

.... we had food safes, this used to be on the wall outside our back door when I was a little girl, the mesh sides used to help keep food cool and mum used to buy perishable goods every day in the village.
It has been lurking in the back of the shed for many years I have plans to renovate it to use as a cupboard somewhere maybe. I like to think it's got a new life in it.
