Evening's End

Met up with S after work today for the second part of the Edinburgh Art Festival's Art Late tours. We didn't do the whole thing but it kicked off at the Art College with quite a good performance and then I really liked the Academy of Tomorrow's Wonders at InSpace, recommended! Best of all though were the shredded, smoked pork nachos that we grabbed after that!

When S headed down to the Book Festival I wandered through the Meadows to Summerhall (the old Dick Vet for any ex-pats!) where there are a pile of exhibitions. I think the best ones were maybe shut already.

We met up in the Book Festival Spiegeltent and that was the highlight of our cultural outing. Short story and poetry readings will sound a bit dull but Kate Mosse's ghost story was neat, DBC Pierre's poems pretty darned good (after he put his reading glasses on!) and Luke Wright is just great! 5 stars!!
