Basel

The morning was spent walking around Basel. The city is quite beautiful, particularly as you walk along the river looking at the houses on the waterfront. The Rhine is a strong and wide river, so it’s funny to watch swimmers drift by in it calmly and powerlessly, avoiding the boats. Apparently it’s a common thing to do there. I definitely would try it if I lived in Basel. Altogether, we didn’t do much except walk around, seeing the various old cathedrals and towers, some of them made out of colorful red rock. Really pleasant, and at 1pm we got on the train back to Brussels, chilling all six hours of it.

It was a good break in Switzerland and really worth it!
