a contradiction ?

I went to Loughborough Uni today to watch my son play football and when parking up at the sports science park I noticed a blip opportunity - a sight of things to come, a group of parked electric cars.
A few miles away on the route home I took the second shot of Ratcliffe power station. It occurred to me that maybe the green image I had a little earlier is not the full story. That polluting smoke was probably fuelling those "clean" cars.
I don't wish to be political or controversial but it just struck me as contradictory.
I wish things could be simple.
