View from the top of the Scott Monument

Somewhat rashly, I agreed when the boy suggested that we should climb the Scott Monument today. First time ever, despite having lived in Edinburgh for many years. All 287 steps - some of them several times over as the winding spiral stairs near the top needed a few goes before we could work our way past those descending.

What magnificent views, and an attempt to make up for some incredibly dull blips this week.
