10 degree drop

Well, back in the UK and a picture of our groovy thermometer. It's not actually 25 degrees today in Chelts, more like 23 but we left 35 degrees in Houston so we are sure noticing the difference.
Houston could never be the city it is without the invention of air conditioning, it really grew when portable commercial air conditioning took off in the 1940's. We went from air conditioned house to air conditioned car to air conditioned mall/restaurant and so it was bearable. Our friends have adapted to it very well and even play tennis in it! Given I found walking round the park and zoo an effort I take my hat off to them for managing 3 sets, and often winning!
