Ipswich

I spent a lot of time at this beach just wondering what it would have looked like to the first people who rowed up to the shores and decided to set up camp. There's a clump of trees really close to the water, which I've not seen at many beaches, and it just threw me right back to colonial New England in my head. This is happening rather a lot at the moment. The hazards of being an English historian of the colonial period, let loose in the Boston archives (+ Boston and surrounding area).
