Golden girl

This is a statue of Queen Anne, sitting above the entrance to Kingston's Market House.
Apparently she was regilded in time for the Olympic cycle race that passed by her last year. Glamorous though she is, I felt a little sorry for her, as the building she graces is rather shabby. It looks like they spent their entire paint budget on her, instead of the woodwork of the windows and doors.
