The Pepper Patch

Higher Ground

Wandering on a back road I haven't been down before, I stopped to take some pics of a country Baptist church but ended up walking among the grave sites in the cemetery behind the church instead. With it's Live Oaks draped with Spanish Moss and the expanse of it's field it had an ethereal quality that made me think I wouldn't want to visit after dark. As it was I sat in the shade for a while and offered up a brief prayer of thanks as I left.

By the way you might be interested to know that Spanish Moss isn't moss at all, in fact it's related (in some way I suppose a botanist understands) to pineapples.

...and the adventure continues.
