Tuesday 4 August 2009: Clyde..
This is the camel I rode today.. We went for a 4 hour drive to the edge of the Gobe desert to see what was there. Camels are hard to ride specially when they only have blanket thrown over them. NO saddle and no stirrups. The full size pic should show up well too I think.
So my time in Hohhot is almost done.. I will wander around the city tomorrow on busses looking at the interesting buildings and temples and then home to Shenyang tomorrow night.
I have had a great time. I have been to the Grasslands, The Great Wall and then today to the desert and the Yellow River. Such a vast, diverse area around the city. If you are in the neighbourhood, I would recommend a visit.. The place I stayed has been awesome too.
