Hero Gromit

So, it's the last day of the summer holidays (officially) although I've already been in work for a few days and got myself slowly back into work mode.

After a lie-in (goodbye lie-ins) we chugged off to Bristol city centre for a walk around. We spotted a fair few more Gromits and took a few children hanging off Gromit snapshots. It's been such a good idea and I'm sure it must have pulled a lot of people into Bristol who might not otherwise be here.

We met a lady with her three sons who had come down from Birmingham with the prime aim of capturing the Gromits.

There's so much going on at the moment in Bristol that it means there's always something new to do.

We popped along to the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize at the M Shed (here) which was very impressive and somewhat inspiring.

A cup cake and a drink and now we are back at home. There's work to be done, a party to take Son #2 to and various jobs around the house. In amongst all that we will try and have an old-fashioned relaxing Sunday afternoon.

Until, it's tea time when it's time for Son #1 and myself to conjure up a curry what we haven't had before!

Oh, this was Hero Gromit opposite the Hippodrome. I love the mural and Gromit combination!
