arsed - Slang; to be willing, inclined, or prepared. Can't be arsed - can't be bothered
Blerch - a pint-sized virtual troll representing apathy, gluttony, and indifference (happens also to be the sound of any condiment that is squeezed out of a plastic container) - from The Oatmeal online cartoon about long distance running
bolshy - a. (from Bolshevik) argumentative, overly assertive, hostile to authority; b. (from Bolshoi, Russian) big
boreen - narrow, frequently unpaved rural road in Ireland
bothy - (in Scotland) a small hut or cottage
cavies - Any of various tailless South American rodents of the family Caviidae, which includes the guinea pig
cossie - informal for swimming costume
elastoplast - bandaid
fair few, a - many
heaving - full, busy (U.K.)
olio - a miscellaneous collection (as of literary or musical selections)
orchardist - fruit farmer
peedie - little (Scottish)
pootle, or pootle about (v.i.) - To wander or ramble in a leisurely, indirect, or aimless manner, such as by walking or driving; to potter
prevening - ambiguous period of time between afternoon and evening. Starts around 4:00 PM.
put the hammer down - drive or bike quickly; accelerate to maximum speed
quetila - 1 tequila, 2 tequila, 3 quetila 4, 5 quetia, 6 queta, 7 ooooh FLOOR
roving - a long and narrow bundle of fiber. Rovings are produced during the process of making spun yarn from wool fleece, raw cotton, or other fibres
simples! - Used to suggest that something is particularly easy to comprehend or uncomplicated. Communicates a greater level of simplicity than its antecedent 'simple'. Often used ironically after an especially convoluted/complex explanation of something.
wairua - (in NZ) soul, in Maori
