More than 25,000 cataract operations since 1999

IMPACT's Jibon Tari floating hospital in Bangladesh. Another great shot from the Al Jazeera crew who have made a wonderful film about our work in Bangladesh. It airs tonight as part of 'The Cure' series at 10.30pm GMT and online from tomorrow http://www.aljazeera.com/programmes/thecure/

There are around 700 rivers in Bangladesh, so a floating hospital is the ideal way to take medical care and surgery to underserved communities. Operations to restore sight, hearing and mobility and repair cleft lip all take place on board. £40 is the average cost to IMPACT of each life-transforming operation featured in the film.

More than 25,000 people have had their sight restored since the hospital's launch in 1999.
