Transporting student daughter #1 to Jersey where she will be based for a year. This brief stop at Charnock Richard motorway service reminded me of the tenuous local theory held by some in Kirkcudbright (SW Scotland) that King Arthur's Camelot was actually located near Borgue on the Solway Coast next to Kirkcudbright.

When I was told this I was able to reply with my extensive general knowledge that this was a daft idea 'cos everyone knows that Camelot is just the other side of the M6 from Charnock Richard Services!
