A Cucumber journey by Shimabuku @ The Ikon

Instead of taking the train from London to Birmingham Shimabuku decided to make the journey via canal. It took him approximately 2 weeks.

In that time he was able to make food for himself by hand, pickling cucumbers and tomatoes he had bought in London and learn so much more about England and culture that he would have done has he travelled by train.

An original reflection on how methods of travel have changed over the years and how these changes have affected the way we use our time. A refreshing challenge to our reliance on fast modes of transport in these modern times which can make our lives more frenetic and less enriched whilst seemingly saving us time.
