Gryphaea

I am about to reveal a personal foible. I collect stones; there, I've said it now and it can't be taken back. I don't so much collect them as accumulate them, from beaches and coastlines around Britain, I have hundreds. I don't know what they are I just like the look of them and sometimes draw or paint them. I do sometimes pick up a fossil, usually an ammonite or a Devil's Toe Nail, the Gryphaea of the title. The Gryphaea is to the centre left of the photo and was on the beach at Robin Hood's Bay.
