That Deflated Feeling

Our Anglesey Camping holiday is now over :-(

This is me (left) with L trying to deflate his tent so that it fits into a pocket sized bag. And yes, the innuendos were flying in thick n fast!
Despite appearances, it was actually quite easy to do thanks to two rips that occured today. The first was created by a field mouse gnawing through the groundsheet (trying built a nest) right beneath L's pillow at 6 o'clock this morning! The second rip "just happened" as we helped dismantle it. Gutted.
Such a shame because the tent was a good 'un in terms of its height & size - the social fun the six of us had in that tent over the last 6 days were totally priceless.

And what a week it was. Two whole minutes of rain during this time too. Yes, really. Not bad at all for Wales, if you ask me.

What we learnt from our camping holiday:

My wife R has been converted (took me nearly 20 years to convince her to camp)
Kokomo (cheap- sh!t Malibu) goes well in coffee AND apple/blackcurrent cordial
Kokomo bottles make ace lamp shades when used with a mobile phone search light
Bratties (Bratwurst Sausages) fry well
Bratties BBQ well too
Reggae Reggae sauce needs to be thicker
John Smith & Jack Daniels are now best buddies
Mobile phone search lights are the future of camp lighting
My son loves bacon butties even more
My son now likes beef burgers
Jelly Babies taste better BBQ'd
Jelly Babies taste even better when BBQ'd on the same skewer as marshmellows
Tinned food tastes better than at home
The exact location of the South Stack

Our holiday started here.

Back to reality for me tomorrow.............
