Hills, lochs and glens

The last day of our recce trip. Woke to another beautiful sunny day, we have been so lucky. Today we are walking eight miles on the Badenoch Way, starting at and ending at Inch .......

A beautiful track up through the forest, spending some minutes talking to the mushroom pickers; I had heard that the mushrooms were really good this year, but I was told otherwise today. However, the baskets looked pretty full to me.

At our highest point we had a wonderful view of the little lochs and glen over towards the majestic Cairngorm mountains; this particular spot is a favourite one of ours, and we have walked various different routes here, but always come to the viewpoint. Our companions had not been here before and were awestruck by its beauty, as I am every time I see it.

Finished our walk at the Inch Watersports Centre, and had a lovely few drinks and some social chat, before heading home, stopping at Pitlochry for a fish tea.

Quite nice in large mode!
