And it's Goodbye to Mantova

What better way for the delightful renaissance town of Mantova to say farewell than with a market stand groaning with the most extraordinary and colourful collection of ornamental squashes I have ever seen. And folk took their time picking just the right one - presumably to get stuffed.

We had a terrific festival in a wonderful atmosphere. I would be very happy to be asked back next year!

Only disappointment was that somehow autumn managed to sneak in while we were away :(
