Brighton Street Art

Off to Brighton for the day today. We love this place so much! I took so many pictures but I think this one really shows off Brighton and some of its amazing street art. This one in particular shows the Brighton Pavillion and also the helter-skelter on the pier (blipped last year!) I love street art so today was so fun to spot as much as possible

Once we were in Brighton after a delay with the trains this morning we headed to Red Roaster, our favourite coffee shop in the UK. They have such good coffee and it is a great place to just chill out and relax.

Next stop – the pier! Fun on the dolphin derby (which I won for the first time ever!) and in the arcades, even won enough tickets on the 2p machines to get a pencil! We had planned to get some tasty fish for lunch from a shop on the shore front but it was just too cold at that time to eat outside. Instead we bought some smoked mackerel for dinner tomorrow and split a roll mop (herring pickled with onion and gherkin), it was so tasty!

We had a bit of a wander in the Laines and by the time we decided to stop for lunch the sun had come out and we could actually sit outside and soak it in a bit! Bit more of a wander around the North Laines after lunch and its unique shops (including getting our portrait from a classic Photomatic booth which was brilliant and stopping at Montezuma's, to buy some of their amazing chocolate). Popped in to an organic supermarket and picked up some yummy things to take home with us. During this point the heavens opened, literally a wall of water falling from the sky! Thankfully we could dodge it in and out of shops so didn’t get too wet!

While in Brighton we, of course, had to go to the Lick shop for our favourite frozen yogurt. Unfortunately the shop itself is closing so they can focus on being able to sell their fro-yo to shops around the UK. At least we got in there one last time and we will still be able to get it from Whole Foods back in Glasgow.

Quick march up to the train station and the end to a brilliant trip to Brighton. A very long write up there so if you made it this far thanks for reading. It really was a great day!
