10 Countries Run Day 3 - Cherasco to Rasthaus

The third day of the Club Triumph 10 Countries run. We started the day in Italy and an early stop for the first signing-in point of the day at Lesa. We lost a little time with a second unplanned (but important) stop for a proper Italian ice cream. Then on to Switzerland and soon we were climbing the San Bernardino pass. Annie was at the wheel of the cream 2000 (captured in the blip being chased by the TR4A) enjoying the switch backs in the road. The 2000 struggles a little up such steep hills - it's well over a tonne - so it was a sedate climb. I got a chance to photograph from the maroon 2500 PI. Another spectacular view at the top with more cloud than yesterday. We zig-zagged down the other side and on into Switzerland.

Passing briefly through Liechtenstein and Austria, and with the cars running well today we made great time and got to the hotel in Rasthaus in good time. A great meal in the town invloved us all picking things from a German menu with little or no idea of what we were actually going to be eating. It was all good thankfully and great portions to boot. German beers all round - cheers!
