A BAD SIGN FOR SUMMER......

and not a Blip I would normally do but ..... here we are just a few days into Spring and today has been a typically "BAD" summers day!
The forecasts were for 30 deg C and high winds, well they were spot on. The winds picked up in the morning to gust of up to 30KMPH, and sadly we have had bushfires close to housing in scrub around Penrith North, causing evacuations and this afternoon a bad fire in the Blue Mountains at Winmalee. Reports of a home lost and fire fighters hurt.
This shows the smoke from both fires - to the left at Winmalee and to the right at Londonderry/Castlereagh north of Penrith.

If you wish this link NSW RURAL FIRE SERVICE will give further info.

What we do not look forward to with summer.
