Zen and Pink Robots

Had an unintentionally Japanese-themed lunch today, listening to 'Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots' and eating sushi by the pond. Was almost feeling zen but was all too aware of how I could be sketched into the artist's impression of the business park along the lines of content employee delights in 30 minutes of nature, look how she smiles at the ducks and admires the foilage!...

I'm sure there are explicit written guidelines concerning the exact quantity and quality of greenery/water-features required in a business park, in order to stop the office-bound becoming utterly f*ed off. The foilage seems rather measured and the colours appear to have been selected from a chart, with pastel shades favoured in an attempt to subdue any fiery emotions brought on by missing staplers and misuse of the photocopier.

I am, you may be able to tell, still in the early days of my re-entry into the office world. I am not exactly taking to it like a duck to water. It is more a case of 'you expect me to come here regularly?... five days a week?... eight hours a day?... yes, well, we'll see how long that lasts!'

Having said all that, it is a very nice pond.
