All of a flutter

Hearts as well as pennants were fluttering today as we watched Aida dancing on her mooring. It was a wild night overnight and most of today, but she was fine.

All things being equal we would have had her out of the water by now, but due to a tricky combination of tide times and Mike's working hours it wasn't possible this week. He has to sail her round to the harbour where the local ferry operator, between sailings, at a suitable tide height, cranes her out and onto the trailer. As I say, tricky!

When he'd been out to her at the end of the week Mike had doubled up the mooring ropes and checked the buoys and chains, but even so it was a relief to see her safely staying put during the day! And luckily we can watch her from the comfort of the sitting room - and in Mike's case, his shed!
