Not Porty, People and Places

An early start saw me heading for a secret location in the heart of Glasgow for a BBC Radio 5 Live Radio and TV transmission from The Old Fruit Market. Once we were there we were encourged to tweet our location and tweet throughout the 2 hour live broadcast from 1000 until 1200. (For those who are interested in the tweets they can be found at #5livedebate. For those interested in the programme you can catch it again on iPlayer!) The quality of the actual debate was poor. The polarisation between the yes and no camps worrying. The good news for me was the fact that the latest polling intentions suggest that almost 70% of the electorate will vote in this referendum a year from now. Whatever the final result the higher the turnout the greater will be the credibilty of that vote. Victoria Derbyshire, the host of her eponymous programme on 5Live, had the unenviable job of chairing this maelstrom of opinions. My blip shows her in full flight and gains full marks from me for the very professional and accomplished manner in which she achieved this.
