Sunset, Bryce Canyon

Started the day with a sunrise shoot at the horseshoe bend of the Colorado River, then drove to Bryce Canyon - had a hairy moment on the journey, when we drove through the heaviest hailstorm imaginable - our driver struggled to keep control; of the minibus, and the car to our left was slewing all over the road - Mike did a great job, and got it back under control and missed the other vehicle!

Spent the evening at Bryce Canyon - really one of those places that I would describe as an emotional landscape. The scale of the place was incredible. Although we arrived there to see the sunset - and the tops of the hoodoos lit by the setting sun, I liked the look of them after the sun had set and the details through the various channels were more defined rather then lost in deep shadow; and I liked the way the trees at the bottom of the hoodoos gave scale to the colossal height of the rock formations,
